Easyfairs Partners with SGS to Ensure “Every Visit is a Safe Visit”

Brussels, 16 July 2020: International event organizer and venue manager Easyfairs announced today that it has entered into a partnership with SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company, to reinforce its commitment to safeguarding the health and wellbeing of visitors and exhibitors, as well as Easyfairs employees, at its events and venues.

“We want to be sure that every visit to our events and venues is not only an easy visit, but a safe visit,” said Easyfairs Group CEO and Founding Father Eric Everard. Easyfairs selected SGS to review and verify its enhanced cleaning protocols as part of the company’s efforts to ensure that its health and safety protocols continue to meet the highest international standards, including those for the prevention of and protection against the spread of COVID-19.

SGS was selected for its extensive global experience and proven track record in providing integrated cleaning and hygiene solutions, and will support Easyfairs at all of its global portfolio of exhibition halls by:

  • Verifying Easyfairs events and venues’ enhanced hygiene and disinfection protocols
  • Validating Easyfairs’ training plans for its highly experienced employees on implementation of the enhanced health and safety protocols
  • Developing a control and monitoring program to ensure these standards are maintained throughout the events across the world

“As the event industry has a high responsibility to address health and safety issues, we are very happy to partner with Easyfairs on implementing a monitoring program which takes advantage of our technology solutions and provides a level of comfort to event visitors for years to come,” says Peter Possemiers, Executive Vice President of SGS Environment Health and Safety services.

These activities will ensure that Easyfairs’ protocols are verified and validated, and that all Easyfairs venues receive a label, validated by SGS, proving their successful implementation as its operations resume.

“Live events will play an important role in the economic recovery,” Everard added. “It is therefore absolutely vital that we do everything possible to ensure cleanliness and hygiene to protect everybody’s health and safety, and build confidence in business communities. To this end, we are putting our trust in SGS, the global benchmark for quality and integrity.”
